FOIA Request to Dekalb County Regarding Vendor Payments in 2024 on September 26th.
As a part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at DeKalb Times have requested records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. We are specifically seeking a list of all payments made to vendors from January 1, 2024, until September 26, 2024. The details we are looking for include the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description, and the amount paid.
As a media organization, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
