This weekend, many residents of northwest Illinois participated in a free paper shredding event organized by House Minority Leader Tony McCombie. The event aimed to provide a secure way for locals to dispose of paper documents containing personal information.
The shredding event took place in Freeport and was held in collaboration with State Representative John M. Cabello (R-Machesney Park) and the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Department. This initiative has become an annual occurrence due to its ongoing popularity among community members.
Leader McCombie expressed her gratitude for the strong attendance, stating she looks forward to hosting the event again next year.
