House Minority Leader Tony McCombie recently organized an event for Illinois residents to update their I-Pass technology. The event, held in collaboration with State Representative Amy Grant and the Illinois Tollway, aimed to facilitate the transition from plastic transponders to new I-PASS Sticker Tags. This initiative ensured that users could switch without any disruption to their I-PASS account activity.

For those who missed the event, I-PASS Sticker Tags will be available at Illinois Tollway Customer Service Centers starting January 26. They can also be ordered online through the Illinois Tollway website or purchased at Jewel-Osco and Road Ranger retail locations beginning in early February.

The Illinois Tollway states that this introduction of I-PASS Sticker Tags is a collaborative effort with other E-Z Pass agencies. It aims to provide continuous service across the 19 states within the E-Z Pass consortium.

Leader McCombie emphasized that switching to the I-PASS Sticker Tag is not mandatory for those with a functioning transponder. Constituents with questions are encouraged to contact Leader McCombie’s office at 815-291-8989.
