Illinois Medicaid providers are being reminded of an important deadline approaching at the end of November. According to Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, providers must complete their mandatory five-year revalidation by November 30, 2024. Failure to meet this deadline will result in disenrollment and the inability to receive payment for claims after that date.

McCombie emphasized that "reactivation of enrollment cannot be retroactive in accordance with federal regulations." This means that any delay beyond the specified date could lead to significant disruptions for providers seeking compensation for services rendered.

To assist with the revalidation process, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has developed new resources. These include dedicated websites offering video webinars, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and other guidance on how to complete revalidation. Providers can access these resources through IMPACT Information.
