House Minority Leader Tony McCombie expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year's Holiday Diaper Drive. The initiative, led by Deputy Minority Leader and State Representative Ryan Spain, aims to support families struggling to afford essential baby items like diapers.

Statistics indicate that nearly half of U.S. families face challenges in purchasing diapers. Assistance programs such as WIC and SNAP do not cover these items, leaving many families reliant on local food pantries. However, these pantries often struggle to meet the demand for diapers, wipes, and cream. The Holiday Diaper Drive seeks to address this gap through community efforts.

Representative Spain has organized the drive for seven years, consistently aiding local families. This year marked a significant achievement with over 14,000 diapers and more than 16,000 wipes collected for distribution during the holiday season. Over the past seven years, the drive has amassed donations totaling more than 82,500 diapers.
