Ogle County Republicans Chairman Mike Koolidge said that as President Trump returns to the White House, America embarks on a new era of economic growth and strengthened borders under decisive leadership. Koolidge made his statement to NW Illinois News on January 20.
"The Golden Era in America begins today as Donald Trump returns to the White House, ready to restore greatness to our republic," said Michael Koolidge. "With relentless dedication, President Trump will put American workers first, sparking a revival of our industries. His firm approach will secure our borders and protect the safety of every citizen. America's future is brighter than it's ever been, thanks to the decisive and bold leadership of President Donald J. Trump!"
According to Politico, Trump's agenda includes mass deportations, sweeping tariffs, and an assertive foreign policy, potentially involving military interventions in Greenland and Panama. Trump's Inauguration Day began with a service at St. John’s Episcopal Church, followed by tea with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
Fox News reported that on Inauguration Day, Trump is expected to sign over 200 executive actions. Priorities include border security, energy reforms, cost-of-living reductions, and ending federal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs. Actions include declaring a national border emergency, reinstating "Remain in Mexico," building new border wall sections, and designating cartels as terrorist organizations. Trump will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord, end offshore wind leases, and abolish the Green New Deal.
