Today, the Illinois House Republican Caucus staged a walkout in response to resolutions introduced by House Democrats. The Republicans criticized these resolutions as politically motivated and irrelevant to pressing state issues.

State Representative Brad Fritts of Dixon expressed his frustration with the situation. "Illinois House Republicans finally had enough of the political theater in our state legislature," said Rep. Fritts. He emphasized that their protest was a demonstration of unity against what they perceive as unnecessary debates on federal issues.

Fritts further accused the Democrats of wasting time and taxpayer money on political soundbites while ignoring significant challenges facing Illinois. "Perhaps the majority party is unaware, but our state is looking at a $3.2 billion budget deficit," he stated, criticizing their focus on fearmongering and propaganda rather than addressing critical problems.

According to Fritts, these include crises related to cost of living, public safety, and the budget itself—issues he claims have been exacerbated by Democratic policies. He affirmed his commitment alongside fellow Republicans to focus on tangible work for constituents instead of engaging in what he described as "political games."
