City of Dixon City Council met Feb. 10.

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hughes at 4:00pm.
ROLL CALL
Councilman Bishop, Considine, Oros, Venier, and Mayor Hughes answered roll call.
Absent: None

WORK SESSION
City Manager Langloss presented the FY26 Budget Introduction. Budget meetings started last week with donation request under our donation policy, all are related to economic development. He gave an overview regarding 2024 as another remarkable year, housing priority, economic growth and business investment, enhancing infrastructure and quality of life, safety and service, and looking ahead. He gave a General Fund overview, revenue trends and projections, key revenue sources and projections, and moving forward.
Departments presented their budgets. Fire Chief Buskohl - Fire & Police Commission, Fire, and Emergency Vehicle Fund. Fire Chief Buskohl and Police Chief Howell - Crisis Team Coordinator. Police Chief - Police. Building Official Shipman - Building & Zoning, Public Safety Building, Downtown Maintenance, and Veterans Park. IT Manager Philhower - Information Technology. **Note Councilman Oros left meeting at 5:03pm and returned at 5:04pm. City Manager Langloss - Council and Economic Development. Finance Director Leslie - Municipal, PR and Marketing. City Manager Langloss - Administration. Discussions ensued throughout the presentations. Next budget meeting will be Wednesday, February 12th at 4:00pm.
