March 19, 2025, is recognized as Illinois Agriculture Trade Day. This day highlights the significant role agriculture plays in the state's economy and communities. It honors Illinois' farmers, producers, and agricultural businesses.

Illinois' agriculture sector is notable for its productivity and contribution to food security locally and globally. The state leads in producing soybeans, pumpkins, and horseradish; ranks second in corn production; fourth in hogs; and tenth in wheat.

In 2023, Illinois was the largest exporting state in the Midwest with agricultural exports valued at $13.7 billion.

House Minority Leader Tony McCombie encourages residents across Illinois to celebrate this day dedicated to agriculture.
