The annual Senior Health Fair, organized by House Minority Leader Tony McCombie (R-Savanna), Senate Minority Deputy Leader Sue Rezin (R-Morris), State Senators Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley) and Li Arellano, Jr. (R-Dixon), along with State Representatives Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) and Bradley Fritts (R-Dixon), will take place at DeKalb High School on July 14.
“As lawmakers, we have a profound responsibility to care for and uplift the most vulnerable members of our communities, which includes our senior citizens, who have spent their lives contributing to the strength and wellbeing of our state,” said Rep. McCombie. “This event will help ensure seniors are not only protected but also fully informed about the resources and services available to them. By increasing awareness and access, we can help our seniors live well.”
Scheduled for Monday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the fair will be held in the cafeteria of DeKalb High School at 501 West Dresser Road, DeKalb, IL 60115. Numerous local and state organizations will be present to discuss programs and services available for seniors.
The event promises free admission, refreshments, and screenings. Information on healthier lifestyles will be shared alongside vaccinations and blood pressure checks available for attendees.
Legislators and staff members will also be present to engage with constituents and address any questions or concerns related to Illinois.
