Over recent months, State Senator Li Arellano Jr. (R-Dixon) conducted a Legislative Session Recap Town Hall tour across the 37th District. The tour aimed to engage constituents directly, providing updates from the spring legislative session and offering a platform for residents to express their concerns on various state and local issues.
Senator Arellano expressed his gratitude to those who participated, stating, “I’m grateful to every resident who came out to speak with me. These town halls aren’t just about updates; they’re about listening, learning, and standing up for what matters most to the people of the 37th.”
The town halls took place in several locations including Dixon, Geneseo, Rochelle, and Chillicothe. Common issues discussed included rising taxes, state funding of abortion services, ethics reform needs, Illinois’ pension system challenges, and support for the agriculture industry.
