State Senator Li Arellano Jr. has spent recent weeks meeting with various organizations and community leaders throughout Illinois' 37th District as he prepares to return to Springfield for the legislative session. These meetings have given him opportunities to listen to concerns and priorities from local stakeholders.
Senator Arellano's recent discussions included a session with the Peoria Area Association of REALTORS, where housing challenges facing families in Illinois were addressed. He also met with representatives from the Illinois Association of Medicaid Health Plans to talk about ongoing reforms related to Medicaid. Additionally, Arellano held conversations with members of the Lee and Woodford County Farm Bureaus and the Illinois Farm Bureau, focusing on agricultural issues and the needs of area farmers.
“Meeting with these groups is essential to creating the best possible legislation,” Senator Arellano said. “If I don’t hear their concerns directly, I can’t effectively advocate for them or the people they serve. I encourage any group in the 37th District to reach out and share their input.”
Residents or organizations interested in speaking with Senator Arellano are encouraged to contact his office through his website or local district office.
Arellano, a Republican, was elected in 2025 as state senator for Illinois' 37th Senate District, succeeding Win Stoller.
