On September 20, Freeport Athletics reported live from a football game with the update: "51yd TD Run Mullens PAT is No Good @Auburn_AD 28 @PretzFB 50 5:33 left in 4Q". A follow-up post later that evening included only a link: "https://t.co/xaqivhHxpT".
Two days later, on September 22, Freeport Athletics announced a victory for the girls varsity swimming and diving team: "Swimming and Diving Girls Varsity defeats Sterling with a final score of 93 - 66. https://t.co/DAatLNnc3Q".
Freeport High School serves students in grades nine through twelve and had an enrollment of 1,084 during the 2019-2020 academic year.
