State Representative Brad Fritts (R-Dixon) will host a Utility Bill Clinic in partnership with the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) on Wednesday, October 15th. The event is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sterling Public Library, located at 102 W. 3rd Street in Sterling.

The clinic aims to provide local residents with guidance on how to reduce their utility bills. Attendees will have the opportunity for one-on-one consultations with CUB counselors, who will review individual utility bills and offer personalized advice.

“Our upcoming Utility Bill Clinic is an excellent resource for residents who want recommendations on ways to lower their utility bills,” said Rep. Fritts. “We’ve all felt the burden of ever-increasing energy bills here in Illinois. This clinic is a great way to help offset those additional costs for constituents.”

Participants will receive information about solar and electrification programs that may help decrease utility expenses, as well as details on rebates and strategies related to energy efficiency programs. The clinic also covers how to identify unnecessary charges on gas and electric bills and provides information about financial assistance programs available for income-qualified households.

Appointments are encouraged and can be made online or by calling Rep. Fritts’ office at 815-561-3690 EXT. 2.

Fritts was elected as a Republican representative to the Illinois State House in 2023, representing the state's 74th House District after succeeding Dan Swanson.
