State Senator Li Arellano Jr. is organizing a Veterans Appreciation Program and Expo for veterans and their families in the 37th District. The event is scheduled for Monday, November 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rock Falls Community Building, located at 601 West 10th Street.
Terry Prince, Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs, will deliver remarks during the event.
“We want our veterans to know how much they’re valued,” said Senator Arellano. “This event gives us the opportunity to say thank you in person and learn more about the incredible people who have served our country from right here in our district.”
Participants will have opportunities to meet with representatives from veterans’ organizations and local agencies, access information on available programs and resources, and enjoy complimentary refreshments. The event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated but not required; those interested can email moldenettel@sgop.ilga.gov to RSVP.
Arellano, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 2025 to represent the state's 37th Senate District, succeeding Win Stoller.
