City of Rock Falls Committee of the Whole met Sept. 30.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The meeting was called to order at 11:00 AM. Members present were Dennis Stewart, Don Geralds, Lance Charnock, and Geroge Weber. Absent was Bob Johns. Also, present was Maureen Stevens and Mitch Hamilton.
· Public Comments: We would like to welcome George Weber to the committee.
· Approve the minutes of the July 28th,2025 meeting. Motion to accept the minutes from the July 28th meeting was made by Lance Charnock and seconded by Don Geralds. Motion passed 4-0
· Financial Report—Mitch Hamilton: Total liabilities, equity and surplus as of August 31st, 2025. $61,977.39, The motion to accept the financial report was made by Lance Charnock. George Weber seconded the motion. Motion Passed 4-0.
· Golf Course Superintendent Report – Mitch Hamilton:
· A) Rounds played as of August 31st, 2025; 13,395 vs 2024 of 13,038. · B) Fall Rates began 9/28/25.
· C) Several tee areas are scheduled for repair and refurbishment.
· Hole #3 tee area, add to the Black teeing area, trim overhanging trees, reseed white tee area, add red tee box South of the creek. Holes #4 and #6, forward tees closed to be reseeded. On #6 add a new red tee area. #9 tee area to close and be rebuilt with necessary trimming, dirt work and sodding. #12 tee area to be cleaned up on the east side with a red tee area to be added. #15 tee area to be trimmed with the objective of getting more sunlight to the area.
· D) Play days, Leagues and High school play are finished for the year. · E) Aerating of the greens will be on October 9th, 2025.

· Adjournment: Motion to adjourn Lance Charnock and seconded by Don Geralds. Motion carried 4-0. The meeting was adjourned at 11:25 A.M.
