Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie recently held her annual Law Enforcement Luncheon, bringing together law enforcement officers from agencies throughout northwest Illinois. The gathering aimed to foster communication between lawmakers and police, allowing participants to share feedback, discuss ongoing challenges, and consider policies to improve public safety in the state.
McCombie emphasized the importance of cooperation between legislators and law enforcement. “It is important for lawmakers to continue strengthening our relationship with law enforcement,” said McCombie. “There is always more we can do to enhance public safety, and working together is the only way to get the job done right.”
McCombie, a Republican, was elected in 2023 as the representative for Illinois' 89th House District, succeeding Andrew Chesney.
