House Minority Leader Tony McCombie visited Neighbors Health Center in Byron, according to a March 6 announcement. The facility is a skilled nursing center that serves residents of the 89th Legislative District.
The visit highlights the role of local health centers in providing care for community members who need short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and specialized memory support. McCombie met with staff to learn about their services and toured the facility to observe how they assist residents and families at different stages of care.
During her visit, McCombie also spent time with residents during an activity session. “I’m grateful for the caregivers, nurses, and staff who work each day to ensure residents receive compassionate, high-quality care,” said McCombie. “Facilities like this play an important role in supporting the health and well-being of our communities.”
McCombie was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 89th House District in 2023, succeeding Andrew Chesney according to available information.
Visits such as these are part of ongoing efforts by state representatives to connect with constituents and understand the needs of local facilities.
