Business from the floor: Jamie Emmert was present to go over what they have for the summer weekend event they are planning. She said they decided to call it the Milledgeville Jamboree. It will be the same weekend as the hog roast at the school but will not interfere with their activities. She gave a tentative schedule of things they are considering. She said the only thing that is currently set in stone is the bands. She said Friday Trippin’ Molly will play and Saturday will be Dirt Road Rockers. She said they are both very popular and have followers so people from out of town will come also. She showed the Trustees how the street will be set up and tentative times for the activities they would like to have. The Trustees were impressed with her organization and think everything looks great so far.

Old Business: The Trustees had Christy read Chapter 13 in the Ordinance book and decided everything was fine as is. The underground tank was next on the agenda. There was a paper from the EPA that the Village Trustees had to opt out of anymore remediation. The EPA will be informed that there is no chance the Village will sell the property that the tank was on as it in under the sidewalk and street area so therefore we will opt-out. MOTION was made by Trotter, sec. by Sprecher to opt out. Motion carried (4-0) by Roll Call vote. The paper will be sent to the EPA and then we will have to wait to be informed on how to clean up the dirt we pulled from the area. Waste Management will let us know.

New Business: The hiring of a new Village employee was next on the agenda. MOTION was made by Sprecher, sec. by Trotter to hire Chris Shores to fill the position of Street and Alley employee. Motion was carried (4-0) by Roll Call vote. Stage said he will call him tomorrow and ask if he wants the job.

Stage said we normally don’t have a second meeting in December but the bills still have to be paid. He asked if everyone was fine with having Christy pay the bills “on vacation”. MOTION was made by Trotter, sec. by Behrens to have Christy pay the bills as she need for the second payment schedule in December. Motion carried (4-0) by omnibus vote. Christy said she will still make sure a Trustee looks them over.

Committee Reports: Gary was not present at this time.

Stage said the projects we have been working on are finishing up at this time. The water looping is basically done and the sidewalks are pretty close to being finished also. He said they mounted the drug box outside so people can dispose of old medicines even after the Village hall closes. He said they do need to mount permanent stop signs yet. They final pick-up date for the Village V-Cans will be November 28, 2016. Stage wanted to thank Jeff for keeping things going with no help for the most part. Greg Miller has stepped in and helped when he was really needed and Stage said we can’t thank him enough for doing that in his retirement! He said they are doing a fantastic job! Helms said the older police car needs a new heater core and Haag said there is a list on top of the drug box that says what we can accept for drop off. It got mounted today and he will clean the drop offs out every morning.

With No Further Business, MOTION was made by Sprecher, sec. by Helms to adjourn at 8:12 p.m. Motion carried (4-0).
