Odell Public Library Board met October 11.
Here is the minutes as provided by the board:
The October 11, 2017 board meeting opened at 5:32 pm in the program room of the library. Board members present were Marc Adami, Jennifer Black, Sarah Bull, Jan Horberg, Melissa Nyboer, and Chris Vanderleest. Staff member Lisa Boles was in attendance. Vern Tervelt was also in attendance.

General Business: A) The minutes of the September meeting were approved by voice vote on a motion by Jen Black, second by Jan Horberg. B) Bills and salaries in the amount of $10,191.79 were approved, motion by Jen Black, second by Chris Vanderleest. (roll call vote-6 ayes, 0 nay). C) The treasurer’s report was received. D) The Director’s report was discussed and received.
Unfinished Business: A) The Building Repair report was discussed and received.
New Business: none
Board Ideas/Concerns: There was some discussion about how often and when the library director should be evaluated.
Public Comment: A) The Odell Public Library Friends’ report was received. Vern Tervelt gave an update on city activities.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in the program room of the library.
The meeting adjourned at 6:08, motion Chris Vanderleest, second by Jan Horberg.
