Analysis: Byron pays $2.05 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Byron Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67.2 percent of the $255,854 the Byron Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.05 for every $1 from pension members, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Byron contributed $171,974 to the fund, which saw a $21,288 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $83,881, or 32.8 percent, in 2016.
