Analysis: Dixon pays $6.65 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Dixon Community Fpd Firefighter Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.8 percent of the $435,172 the Dixon Community Fpd Firefighter Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.65 for every $1 from pension members, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Dixon contributed $356,000 to the fund, which saw a $124,375 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $53,460, or 12.3 percent, in 2016. Another $25,712 came from other unspecified sources.
