Analysis: Rochelle pays $5.48 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Rochelle Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.6 percent of the $408,330 the Rochelle Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.48 for every $1 from pension members, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Rochelle contributed $345,372 to the fund, which saw a $38,135 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $62,958, or 15.4 percent, in 2016.
