Analysis: Rock Falls pays $1.98 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Rock Falls Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67.3 percent of the $208,067 the Rock Falls Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.98 for every $1 from pension members, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Rock Falls contributed $140,050 to the fund, which saw a $23,541 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $70,592, or 33.9 percent, in 2016.
