Report: Orangeville spent $11,000 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Orangeville Community Unit School District 203 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Stephenson County school district spent $9,922 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,000 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 393 to 352.

Orangeville's spending in 2016-17 was 15 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
