Report: Morrison spent $8,859 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Morrison Community Unit School District 6 is down 2 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Whiteside County school district spent $9,050 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,859 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1107 to 1022.

Morrison's spending in 2016-17 was 32 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
