State Representative Bradley J. Fritts has announced several community engagement activities as part of his ongoing 2025 Summer Tour and outreach program across the 74th District. Fritts, a Republican who was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023, continues to focus on constituent services and local involvement after replacing previous state representative Dan Swanson.

Upcoming events include “Coffee & Conversation” sessions in Rochelle at Sunrise Family Restaurant on August 6 and in Dixon at Mary’s Diner on August 21. Town Hall meetings are scheduled for Earlville Township Building on August 6 and Steward’s Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District on August 18. The Dixon Coffee & Conversation and Steward Town Hall events have been rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict.

A joint IPASS/ICASH event will take place on August 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Graves Hume Public Library in Mendota. At this event, representatives will assist with updating old IPASS transponders to new sticker tags, while staff from the Illinois Treasurer’s Office will help attendees search for unclaimed property with the state.

Fritts also highlighted National Intern Day by recognizing summer interns Emma Dinges, Brady Partington, and Wyatt Widolff for their work serving constituents.

For July’s local business highlight, M Thomas Suits Law Office in Polo was recognized for over three decades of legal service and community involvement. “M Thomas Suits Law Office has been serving our region for over three decades, providing legal guidance in real estate, estate planning, probate, and municipal law. What stands out just as much as their legal work is their deep and sustained commitment to the community,” Fritts said. He added that attorney Thomas Suits has served with various boards and organizations since founding the practice in 1990: “Thomas Suits exemplifies servant leadership. His dedication to helping our community through his legal expertise and involvement made M Thomas Suits Law Office a natural choice for this month’s Local Business Highlight.”

Community outreach efforts included attending Changes Counseling LLC’s ribbon-cutting ceremony marking its fifteenth year of service in Rochelle; co-hosting an annual Senior Health Fair in DeKalb; hosting a Mayor’s Lunch with legislative updates; holding a Town Hall at Paw Paw Community Center; attending Rosemeyer Management Group’s new location opening; and congratulating State Senator Li Arellano Jr. on opening his new Dixon office.

Residents interested in visiting Chicagoland museums can reserve a free museum pass through Fritts’ office for up to four people per visit by completing an online request form.

The office also maintains a Community Calendar listing local events subject to state ethics laws restricting certain types of postings.

“Please feel free to reach out to my office at any time!” Fritts stated.
