Report: East Dubuque spent $8,936 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at East Dubuque Unit School District 119 is up 2 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Jodaviess County school district spent $8,766 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,936 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 704 to 696.

East Dubuque's spending in 2016-17 was 31 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
