Report: Eastland spent $12,499 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Eastland Community Unit School District 308 is down 6 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Carroll County school district spent $13,322 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,499 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 692 to 629.

Eastland's spending in 2016-17 was 4 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
