Report: Eswood spent $12,235 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Eswood Community Consolidated School District 269 is down 5 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Ogle County school district spent $12,928 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,235 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 98 to 86.

Eswood's spending in 2016-17 was 6 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
