How much has Pearl City CUSD 200 overspent over the past 10 years?

Pearl City Community Unit School District 200 accumulated $746,633 in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Pearl City CUSD 200 reported 2.9 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 7.9 percent.
