How much has Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico CUSD3 overspent over the past 10 years?

Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico Community Unit School District 3 accumulated $4.23 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico CUSD3 reported 0.5 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 9.3 percent.
