Report: Which Northwest Illinois communities saw the most fires in 2017?

Sublette Fire District, Scales Mound Fire District and Monroe Twp Fire Protection District reported responding to the most fire-related incidents per capita in Northwest Illinois in 2017, according to the latest state report.

The annual summary of state fire incidents, published by the Illinois State Fire Marshal, records the number and type of fire-related incidents each fire protection district responded to in the calendar year. Fires are categorized as structure fires, vehicle fires or other fires.
