City of Freeport issued the following announcement on Sept. 12.
The Freeport Mosquito Abatement District will be conducting a district-wide spraying this Friday, Sept. 14, 2018
Previous mosquito larvacide spray applications were made by helicopter on July 3, July 11, and Aug. 30
The Freeport Mosquito Abatement District strongly recommends using the mosquito hotline number to register high levels of mosquitoes, any standing water near you, and if you would like to be added to the list of people to notify when truck spraying occurs. Citizens may also send emails to callcenter@clarke.com
Call the Mosquito Control Hotline @ 1-800-942-2555
• To be notified prior to a Mosquito Control application.
• To report possible mosquito breeding areas, such as standing water or stagnant water or unkempt swimming pools.
• To report any mosquito annoyances in your area.
