City of Freeport issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.
September 20, 2018 @ 2:18 and 2:20 p.m.
A national alert test for both WEA and EAS capabilites will be held by the Federal Emergency Managemernt Agency (FEMA) to test Presidential WEA capabilities. The test message will be available to all compatible cell phones. Some older cell phones may not receive the test message. view link
