American Legion issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
American Legion national staff and Department of Georgia Legionnaires are teaming up for a district revitalization and veterans outreach effort Oct. 4-6 in Powder Springs, Ga.
Veterans in and around Carroll, Cobb, Coweta, Douglas, Fulton, Heard, Haralson and Paulding counties are invited to attend the effort, which will take place at Powder Springs, Inc. Post 294, 3282 Florence Rd, Powder Springs, Ga.
The hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. all three days. A veterans service officer will be available all three days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs-related issues and other veterans benefits questions.
