AMERICAN LEGION: Veterans outreach coming to North Carolina

American Legion issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.

American Legion national staff and Department of North Carolina Legionnaires will team up for a district revitalization and membership outreach effort Jan. 17-18 at three different locations. Veterans in the Central North Carolina area are invited to attend a special service session from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. both days at the following locations:

• American Legion Post 81, 604 S. Greensboro St., Liberty.

• Fuquay-Varina Post 116, 6400 Johnson Pond Road, Fuquay Varina.

• Fred Y. McConnell American Legion Post 51, 51 Wilshire Ave., Concord.

Veteran service officer information will be available to assist all area veterans with claims or other veteran benefit related questions during these times.
