CITY OF DIXON: Warming Centers Will Be Closed On Wednesday And Possibly Thursday

Closed

City of Dixon issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.

Yesterday in a previous post, we gave information about Warming Centers for our community. Unfortunately, both Warming Centers will be closed on Wednesday and possibly Thursday.

With the cold starting to make it's way into our area we have a couple places that will open their doors to help keep people warm.

Liberty Court Assisted Living Facility has opened there space to people who need to warm-up. Stop by to get a coffee or hot cocoa.

Address: 124 Liberty Ct, Dixon, IL 61021

The Salvation Army is offering to help as well. If you are having trouble keeping warm and need a place to stay for a short while, call the Salvation Army at (815) 857-7022.

Last, the Public Safety Building is also another option if you have no other place to go. The vestibule is always open.

Address: 210 and 220 S. Hennepin Ave.

As always, we encourage citizens to check in on their elderly family, friends and neighbors.
