Report: Paw Paw spent $14,285 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Paw Paw Community Unit School District 271 is up 3.2 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lee County school district spent $13,847 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $14,285 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 231 to 196.

Paw Paw's spending in 2017-18 was 7.1 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
