Report: Pearl City spent $11,920 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Pearl City Community Unit School District 200 is up 10.7 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Stephenson County school district spent $10,772 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,920 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 495 to 448.

Pearl City's spending in 2017-18 was 10.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
