Report: Ashton Franklin Center spent $10,743 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Ashton Franklin Center Community Unit School District 275 is down 2.1 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lee County school district spent $10,973 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,743 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 535 to 503.

Ashton Franklin Center's spending in 2017-18 was 19.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
