Report: Oregon spent $11,617 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Oregon Community Unit School District 220 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Ogle County school district spent $10,557 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,617 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1478 to 1427.

Oregon's spending in 2017-18 was 12.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
