Report: Lena Winslow spent $9,655 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Lena Winslow Community Unit School District 202 is up 6.1 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Stephenson County school district spent $9,099 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,655 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 855 to 831.

Lena Winslow's spending in 2017-18 was 27.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
