American Legion issued the following announcement on Feb. 27.
Department of California Legionnaires are conducting a district revitalization and veterans outreach effort in the Los Angeles County area. All wartime veterans in the area are invited to the event to learn more about American Legion programs and veteran benefits.
The effort will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 2-3 at Southgate California Post 335, 9535 California Ave., South Gate.
A veteran service officer will also be available both days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and other related questions.
