Ashton home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Ashton rose by $56,750 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $96,000 - a 144.6% increase over the $39,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 10 homes sold in Ashton in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Ashton for 2017 was $2,225.52. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,205.30. This marks an increase of 0.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
