Tampico home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Tampico fell by $49,900 while total sales increased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $30,000 - a 62.5% decrease over the $79,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Tampico in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Tampico for 2017 was $1,684. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,644. This marks an increase of 2.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.6%.
