Erie home prices fall in September 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in Erie fell by $23,000 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $83,000 - a 21.7% decrease over the $106,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Erie in September 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Erie for 2017 was $2,050. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,941. This marks an increase of 5.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
