The data shows that nine men and three women were released in Rochelle. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 51-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael A. Maise Jr. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2014 when he was 23 years old. He is now 28.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
