The data shows that 35 men and three women were released in Sterling. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2018, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Lebronze Stewart. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2011 when he was 18 years old. He is now 26.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
