The data shows that 16 men and two women were released in the Dixon zip code. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Aaron Johnson. He was convicted of homicide in 1993, when he was 21 years old. He is now 47.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
